Hi and thanks for the willingness to come here[רעדאַקטירן קוואַלטעקסט]
i would like to thank u for the help u are going to give here, please know that we are only 2 users here realy active. and the reasons differ whom u ask, but that's not my point to belittle the wiki here, but only to tell u how easy it will be to solve thinks because although it sounds like many users they are just many names for 2 users.
Your opinion on hasidic articles?[רעדאַקטירן קוואַלטעקסט]
First of all please note we have basic policy regarding notability translated exactly from the en: policies, i agree with the problem of Hasidim articles since we cannot make enough links to them since hasidic press are very closed and silent. but what do u feel on harels bias that biographies on our rabbis arnt encyclopedic stuff? [1] do u agree with him? i think he isn't a chusid that's why he is so anti and dismissive of its importance. we are ruled by our rabbis. we don't have a court system where all problems end up, our rabbis tell us whom to kill and whom to cherish. he is so blatantly ignorant of our life and society that it hurts me he is considered here as a sysop. i hope Danny and u will balance his Israeli blatant mentality. I hope u wont let him abuse his sysop powers like the most sysops on that he:wiki. thanks--סאסמאן 15:03, 29 אין אַפריל 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, two users is definitely not enough. There are many Yiddish speakers in Israel alone. The problem is that most of them are bilingual or even trilingual, and they prefer writing in Hebrew or English. Many, like my parents, understand Yiddish quite well, but find it very difficult to write in Yiddish, as they used Yiddish only for conversations within the family.
- Notability is definitely culture-specific. Rabbis' biographies are relevant to Jews, religious Jews in particular, while they may seem completely irrelevant to Japanese speakers (except some highly notable figures like the Rambam). It seems natural to me that the Yiddish Wikipedia includes more biographic articles about Rabbis than other Wikipedias. The question remains how these articles should be written. The issue here is writing conventions and not the subject of writing. DrorK 22:17, 29 אין אַפריל 2007 (UTC)
welcome and please block sockpupets[רעדאַקטירן קוואַלטעקסט]
they have seen the Yiddish warning not to be a sock puppet and they voted twice disregarding the rule of justice and trying to make us in a jungle [2], please block them out thanks--זלמן לייב 02:01, 6 מיי 2007 (UTC).
