Thank you for the ntification about the wrong link to eo:. It has changed to a internal "permanent" link to yi: now. Could you install the Greasemonkey Javascript? Most theoretical and technical discussions are on the temlate talk pages at de:, en:, eo:. I need to identify a person capable of writing a specialized but script. The templates at eo: and yi: have additional features designed for further "en:Semantic Web" applications, linking to language specific libraries etc. You may help creating articles corresponding to PND, LCCN, VIAF, Toolserver Personendaten (the maintainer lives it Berlin but the servers are in nl :-; etc.) Thanks for any help in advance.   1. Please read en:Greasemonkey; you need Firefox, Install greasemonkey
  2. You will need to restart FireFix
  3. klick on http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/trunk/tools/viaf/viaf.user.js
  4. You will be asked if you want to install the sript, please confirm.
  5. At "Tools" You will have an new option "Greasemonkey". If you select "Manage User Scrpts..." you will be able to deactivate (or also if you want to delete the script. Please ever ever install JavaScripts of unknown origin. This has open source code:

We will be able to link to any library (with books in Yiddish) in the world if they suport urls of type URL:Prefix/viaf/number just configurating the traget urls. In order to see it you may go to any page from the testlinks at commons:category:VIAF_inter_project_linking. The script inserts clickable multiple target links to a set uf destinations specified in the configuration. More details will folloow. Do you know a librarian, a person skilled with new technologies (FireFox, Greasemonkey etc.). Start a discussion about his work, present the script to him. I noticed the bug about VIAF (corporate) == organisations. It is everywhere else also. Need to fix this next week.
You may think about better names (in Yiddish). The categories should be hierarhical see eo: please make some proposals. Tanks! Please put this to the Village pump:
